This Friday will be a special night at Wagner Speedway, as Mettler Implement of Menno and Mitchell and Bures and Associates, PC presents B-Mod Madness twin features night. The B-Mods will run the first feature of the night in normal fashion, just like a regular race night with regular pay. Their second feature of the evening will be the last race of the night. The line up for the second feature will be completely inverted from the first feature finish for cars that finish the event. If a car does not finish the first feature, they will be able to run the second feature, but will start behind cars that did finish first event. This second feature will also be regular payout and a non-points race.
As an added incentive, each feature winner of the B-Mods will receive $100 worth of scratch off tickets from the South Dakota Lottery. The driver with the best average finish between the two races will also receive $100 in lottery tickets and if a driver wins both events, they will cash in on $250 worth of tickets from the South Dakota Lottery.
There will be a lot going on Friday night, as Wagner Super Foods will co-sponsor "Horsepower for Hunger", the food drive benefiting the Wagner Food Pantry. For each non-perishable food item fans and race teams bring for collection, you will receive a numbered ticket. The more you bring, the better your chances are of winning cash, South Dakota Lottery scratch off tickets, Wagner Chamber Bucks, gift certificates from local and regional businesses and more, which will be drawn for during the evening. If you have something you would like to give away, bring it to the track Friday night. There will be collection points at the pit gate and to the main grandstand. Please be generous and donate to "Horsepower for Hunger" night at the track.
Commercial State Bank of Wagner also will present "Commercial State Bank Kid's Night", when we give bicycles away to young fans during our intermission. Since the B-Mod class is featured that evening, they are encouraged to bring a bicycle for a boy or girl. If you, your race team or your business would like to donate a bike or bikes, bring them to the track Friday night.
We also would like to remind you that because of all the rain outs this season, we are adding the Late Model class to the show as a non-points race. This date originally had Late Models off, but since we haven't raced much, ownership and management decided to add them to the schedule. Since teams may have planned to race in a special event or take a family vacation over that weekend, we did not want to penalize those race teams who are racing for a championship.
B-Mod twin features, Late Models, WISSOTA Super Stocks, Hobby Stocks and B-Buzzers all on the docket so get there early, enjoy a delicious meal at Mom and Missy's Place. It's not track food, it's good food at the track with chislic, walking tacos, pork sandwichs, grilled burgers and more with ice cold Coca-Cola products and Budweiser products.
Gates open at 5pm, hot laps at 7pm with racing to follow. For more information, complete schedule, point stands, news and more, check out the all newwww.wagnerspeedway.com or keep track on Facebook at Wagner Speedway Fan Page.
